Generating a handover
From the main navigation, select "Handover". Choose the shift period (Morning, Afternoon, or Night) and the care home. BoolCare's AI reads all daily notes, incident reports, and other relevant records submitted during that shift and generates a structured handover summary.
What the handover includes
The generated handover covers: key observations for each resident, any incidents or falls, residents who have not eaten or drunk adequately, medication notes, body map updates, and any items flagged for the incoming shift. You can edit the summary before finalising it.
Printing and sharing
Once you are happy with the handover summary, you can print it, download it as a PDF, or share it with the incoming team. Handovers are stored in each resident's activity timeline and can be retrieved for audit purposes.

Custom handover templates
Managers can customise the handover format in Settings > Handover Templates. Add or remove sections, change the order, and include home-specific fields such as on-call contact details or staffing notes.
